The Gasporox solution

innovative laser technology

The Gasporox technology represents a new approach to quality inspection of packages. It is based on optical spectroscopy using low-power diode lasers. The gas is sensed by sending laser light through the sample, probing the gas content without any change of the sample. The gas can for example be located in a headspace of a package, leaking from a package or inside porous materials.

The Gasporox sensors are integrated as a component into machines for production of beverages, food and pharmaceuticals.

About

Many years of science and industry knowledge, paired with more than 20 years of experience in the packaging industry has resulted in Gasporox.

Tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS) is a technique for measuring the concentration of certain species such as oxygen, carbon dioxide, water vapor and many more, in a gaseous mixture using tunable diode lasers and laser absorption spectrometry. The advantage of TDLAS over other techniques for concentration measurement is its ability to achieve very low detection limits (of the order of ppb). Apart from concentration, it is also possible to determine the pressure.

Gas inside packages or leak testing

Gasporox laser sensors can measure the gas concentration inside the headspace of packages. The gas can be Oxygen (O2), Carbon Dioxide (CO2) or Water vapor (H2O). This ensures correct gas mix in the packages which is crucial for quality, safety and prolonged shelf life. The packages can be any type of bag, bottle, vial or tray for the food or pharmaceutical industry, whether transparent or non-transparent and made of materials such as plastic, glass, foil, carton or paper.

Gasporox laser sensors can also determine whether a package is leaking or not and with our concept extremely small leaks can be detected. The packages can be any type of bag, bottle, can, tray or vial for the food or pharmaceutical industry. The packages can be made of virtually any material, including metallic containers.

GPX-series instruments for at-line or laboratory measurements

The free gas seated inside pharmaceutical or food products can be measured with Gasporox products. In the GPX-series Gasporox has developed several instruments for measuring products within the pharmaceutical and food industry.

Other applications

The free gas seated inside products can be measured with Gasporox laser sensors. It can for example be used to check the porosity level inside pharmaceutical substrates and ribbons. The gas can also be located in pores inside for instance bread, fruit or meat. The measurement can be used to study ripeness, respiration and gas content.

We bring value

We pave the way for new quality control technology and a more efficient production in line with Industry 4.0 and create opportunities for leading pharmaceutical companies to grow. We are as passionate about the result for the individual as for our customers, because in the end, that helps us grow.

We continue to challenge industry methods and growth by building a complete company based on a great technological platform with endless opportunities. The GASPOROX technology is already used more than 10 years very successful for the testing of parenteral drugs. The great performance and robustness of the measurement is well proofed in the industry.

Everything we do is to make sure that our vision, that all packages are checked with Gasporox products, will be reached and in the end help you, as an individual, getting quality assured products without taking unnecessary resources from our planet. It is what drives us.
